Board of Education Approves Green Energy Standards
Board of Education Resolution
Collaborative for High Performance Schools
The Recognition
In 2010, the San Bernardino City Unified School District Board of Education approved a resolution to join the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) as a CHPS District. This followed its 2007 adoption of design standards that included high-performance features, underscoring the District’s commitment to sustainable and energy-efficient facilities.
Through this resolution, the San Bernardino City Unified School District Board of Education recognized the progress made by district staff and design teams in using sustainable design practices for new construction and modernization projects. The Board formally adopted the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) Program to strengthen these efforts.
Our commitment to green, sustainable design goes beyond saving energy. It’s about building healthier, more resilient learning environments for generations to come.
