Special Citation | Vocational/Industrial Arts Areas
American Schools & University Educational Interiors Showcase

The Recognition
Pacific High School’s Career Technical Education (CTE), Transportation and Advanced Technology Center received a Special Citation in the 2023 American School & University Educational Interiors Showcase in the category of Vocational / Industrial Arts Areas. The school’s CTE space was designed to ensure students graduate with marketable skills, certifications and real-world readiness to enter high-demand fields immediately after high school.

This recognition highlights the project’s groundbreaking role as the first center of its kind at any high school in California delivering cutting-edge, career-focused education in commercial transportation and advanced technologies. It was designed as part of the San Bernardino City Unified School District’s commitment to sustainable transportation solutions and real-world workforce preparation. The facility’s hands-on training uses the same equipment used in today’s commercial transportation industry, including diesel, natural gas and electric trucks.

This center is a launchpad for students to gain the skills and certifications needed in CTE industries to succeed in tomorrow’s workforce, preparing them for a prosperous future in high-demand fields.
